« A Degrowth Project » was invited to the 2014 European Citizens’ Summit in Brussels:

« In a powerful act of solidarity, eight members of the EU Civil Society Contact Group organised thesecond Citizens Summit in Brussels on 23 and 24 September. From education to gender equality,development, global justice, public health, environment and culture, this Summit was rare momentof civil solidarity across sectorial interests. With over 380 registrations, this was a space for citizensto fire-up a chilly marquee in front of the European Parliament with their desire for change. » (…) « Key-note addresses were presented by Vincent Liegey, leading researcher on the‘de-growth’ concept and Susan George, renowned social justice activist. “The current economicsystem cannot address the challenges the world is now facing and civil society needs to makeradical change”, says Liegey ».
